In Washington DC today, Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome was named vice-chair of the Mayors Alliance to End Childhood Hunger, a nonpartisan coalition working in partnership with the national nonprofit Share Our Strength and its No Kid Hungry campaign. Mayor-President Broome was an inaugural member of the Alliance, launched last year, and will take on the chair position in 2024. Read more here.
