Mayors Alliance Announces Mayors Action Fund

There is no possible excuse for children to go hungry in this country. Yet it happens – every day in every community. Today, 1 in 5 kids in America is at risk of hunger. At the same time, many vital programs, such as SNAP, which are crucial for putting food on the tables of millions of children and families, are facing significant cuts. Thanks to Mayors’ leadership and the Mayors Alliance, we are coming together to end child hunger.

As the Mayors Alliance grows and evolves, we are excited to offer financial support to drive meaningful actions in partnership with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. The Mayors Alliance is pleased to announce the formation of the Mayors Alliance Action Fund to End Child Hunger (Mayors Action Fund) that will fund member Mayors to advance local actions in alignment with Share Our Strength’s program strategies to end child hunger in their local communities.

All interested applicants must first complete this inquiry form by July 11th to express interest in the grant opportunity. If the submitted inquiry matches the available funding opportunity, our team will reach out with details to submit a full proposal. Please note that completing the form does not automatically invite you to apply.

Applicants must meet these requirements to be eligible for funding:

  • Must be a member of the Mayors Alliance
  • Applicants’ initiatives must focus on advancing Federal nutrition and anti-poverty programs, including SNAP, school and summer meals, and family tax credits.
