Led by Mayor Kim Norton (Rochester), and signed by the Mayors of Saint Paul, Vadnais Heights, Columbia Heights, Richfield, Bayport, Edina, and Oakdale, the letter urged their state’s congressional delegation to protect the SNAP program in upcoming budget and reconciliation negotiations. In Minnesota, the SNAP program helps more than 450,000 people afford food.
