“We cannot put the burden of food insecurity upon the shoulders of those who are experiencing this crisis.  We need to provide families in poverty with all the necessary tools to be successful in life. That is why I have been a firm proponent of the federal Child Tax Credit. This is a proven strategy to reduce childhood poverty and help folks have a fair shot.
